The Health Ministry exists to provide awareness and resources for medical and educational health needs of our church body and the community. We believe God is concerned about our health in every aspect. Therefore, we see the need to promote health and wellness in a broad spectrum of ways.
Our Health Ministry Team is made up of healthcare professionals who are part of our congregation. Not only do these wonderful volunteers organize and provide classes and health screenings, but they are also at-the-ready on Sunday mornings during services in case of a medical emergency.
Here are some of the things the Quail Health Ministry organizes:
- Health education classes and seminars with guest speakers
- An annual health fair (in partnership with UOP)
- Loaning of medical equipment (e.g., walkers, ice machines, wheelchairs, crutches, bed pans, shower chairs)
- Blood pressure checks periodically throughout the year
- First Aid stations at outreach events
What we don't do:
Provide medical and legal advice, formal diagnoses, or treatment for medical conditions.
One of the goals of the QLBC Health Ministry is to offer health-related presentations periodically.
